Permanent Make-up

Permanent make-up is applied by qualified personnel to ensure quality and optimum results.

Permanent make-up is a microimplantation of colour pigments in the skin. It originated in Japan where people used to dot paint into the skin through a bamboo stick.

Permanent make-up is not tattooing but applying colour pigments into the skin. These pigments exclusively exist of plant extracts and chemical disinfection to counteract allergic reactions.

As the skin constantly renews itself, pigmentation gradually disappears after about three to five years. This will take place faster with some people depending on age and the colour pigment used.

We advise you to have the pigmentation repeated after one year to prolong the shelf life (for this there are special rates).

NEW AT OUR INSTITUTE - APPLYING HAIR STROKES
With a tiny knife we bring pigment into the skin. These pigment stripes look like hairs, so that the eyebrow get a much fuller expression. Of course we see to it that the eyebrows retain their original form.

Permanent make-up is for everyone wishing to look carefully tended.

Some examples from practice:
*
allergic reaction or oversensitivity to make-up;
* not being good with cosmetics (whether or not because of myopia);
* (partial) absence of eyebrows;
* accentuating and showing up the eyes, eyebrows and lips;
* as a correction with uneven lips or cosmetic imperfections.

Thanks to our advanced techniques we can meet your wishes in consultation with you in order to achieve an optimum result. You will be amazed at the phenomenal result and the ease of our methods.

The treatment is preceded by an intake. This is done on the basis of an extensive questionnaire in which we discuss with you all contraindications because permanent makeup is not be recommended in combination with several medicines or with illnesses. Moreover, preventative measures are sometimes  required. You will also be advised not to use any painkillers (save paracetamol) or alcohol well over 24 hours before the treatment.

Previous to the treatment we determine in consultation with you the colour as well as your wishes. If necessary, a draft will be made with makeup.

You should take into account that the colour used will be approximately one third to fifty per cent darker immediately after the pigmentation because the right colour will still have to develop as a result of the skin renewal process. After about one week the skin will recover fully and the scabs (do not ever scratch at them!) will have disappeared. The colour will also have got the right shade. After four weeks the treatment will be repeated and followed after another four weeks by the finishing touch. So it involves 3 treatments in all in connection with the recovery of the skin.
The first few days after the treatment it is recommended to stay out of the sun (no hot baths either) and to be careful with make-up and flowing water. You may take care of the skin with a healing cream (absolutely without any vitamins C, E or  Aloe Vera) several times a day.
To sooth the skin you may apply an ice pack. This will also be recommended if the skin is red and swollen.

In the unlikely event of any problems arising because of permanent make-up applied incorrectly (see pictures beneath), we will be able to rectify this through advanced techniques.
